Where Are Your Treasures

The owner of a treasure (something of great value) stores his or her treasure somewhere. The goal is to secure the treasure. Perhaps the best insight into what treasure is and where to store it, was provided by Jesus Christ:

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Mathew 6:19-21.

Jesus of Nazareth did not intend that His Wise Words in Mathew 6:19-21 be interpreted literally because Heaven is inaccessible to mortal humans and so can not be used for the storage of the treasures of mortal humans. However, the heaven referred to in Mathew 6:19-21, is critical to its interpretation. Heaven is the metaphor for the secured space needed to shut-out the bad ones (there are no bad ones in heaven) who might want to steal and destroy one's treasure. So where is the heaven referred to in Mathew 6:19-21? It is within oneself. Jesus established the heaven within oneself in Mathew 6:21 by colocating treasure with heart. The colocation of treasure with heart also signifies the love of that which is treasured.

Treasures that can be stored in the heaven within oneself are not tangible. They are not gold, money, power and other luxurious properties. They are spiritual treasures (e.g. faith, love, care, etc) and mind treasures ( e.g. good knowledge and wisdom).

Where Are Your Treasures? Are they stored in the heaven within yourself? If they are, then they are spiritual treasures and mind treasures. Then you will love and care. You will partake in good knowledge and wisdom. You will appreciate and respect the Creator's Gift of Breath. The Gift of Breath was the Creator's First Gift to humans and He gave it first to the Black Race. BLACK LIVES MATTER. It is because BLACK LIVES MATTER THAT ALL LIVES MATTER.
