Division And Unity

Division and Unity are ubiquitious existential concepts. They are also closely related. In other words, division is derived from wholeness and unity is relevant within the context of division. Division and unity are implicit in the two most important existential operations of addition and subtraction. However, their existential importance requires their explicit treatment. The majority of divisions are positive. Negative divisions are very loud and potentially very harmful and so they are talked about more often. In fact, only one of the four classes of divisions I shall soon define, is constituted purely by negative divisions.

Let us use the mathematical definition of basic division to arrive at the definitions of our four classes of divisions. There are three components of basic mathematical division: the dividend (that which is to be divided); the divisor (that which is dividing the dividend); the quotient (the result of the division). We are particularly interested in the polarities (i.e. the charges, + or -) of the components. Let the space of interest be a multi-matter, multi-dynamic space (S7 in TECTechnics parlance) and let the dividend be the space of interest and the quotient, the space of interest after it has be acted upon by the divisor. The divisor may be contained within the space of interest or outside of it.

I make the following definitions:
Positive dividend: space is well (politically, economically, socially)
Negative dividend: space is unwell (politically, economically, socially)
Positive divisor: enhances the wellness of space.
Negative divisor: there are two types of negative divisor: one type disrupts and damages the wellness of space, the other type disrupts and damages the unwellness of space.
Positive quotient: wellness of space is enhanced or sustained after division. This is positive division.
Negative quotient: wellness of space is distrupted and damaged. Unwellness of space is established permanently or temporarily. This is negative division.

Now our four classes of divisions are as follows:
(1) Positive quotient = positive dividend/positive divisor.
This is in essence unity. All is well in the space and all is committed to enhancing the wellness of the space. For example, the partition of a space for more efficient administration; the genetic blueprint responsible for positive cellular division (e.g. somatic division). The question may arise as to why there are divisors if all is well with the space. The answer is that the positive divisor is a seeker of perfection which is an existential asymptote. Consequently, the positive divisor consistently seeks to enhance space as it tends towards perfection, making sure that unity is sustained.
(2) Positive quotient = negative dividend/negative divisor
This is a special case of division. It is usually the class of division with the most passion and also the class of division that has propelled human civilization. The space is unwell, the divisor is a disrupter and damager. Only in this case, the divisor is disrupting and damaging an unwell space. For example, a revolution that kicks out tyranny and then establishes a just governance; abolitionists that dethroned slavery and infact all bonafide freedom fighters are negative divisiors of negative dividends. The negative dividend does not have to be evil in character. For example, the space may be an inefficient space that negative divisors disrupt. This version of class two divisions is frequently encountered in the technological space.
(3) Negative quotient = negative dividend/positive divisor
This is the case of a noble positive divisor that is unable to realize its objective. It seeks to enhance space but it is over powered by the negative dividend. Consequently, its desire to obtain a positve quotient is unrealized. We see examples of this type of division when a group protests evil actions of their space. For examples, protesters who protest the unjust invasion of spaces. Their protest is overwhelmed by the power of the space.
(4) Negative quotient = postive dividend/negative divisor
This is the only negative division. The objective of the negative divisor is malicious from the onset and is often motivated by jealousy and resentment of success. The dividend is positive but the negative divisor resents the positivity. So it embarks on disrupting and damaging the space. The burning of Black Wall Street by racists groups is an example of this type of division.

Humans are basically animals dressed in fine clothings and possessors of distinguished intelligence. Many have used their intelligence and spirituality to refine their consciences. Many have not and will never. Consequently, there will always be humans who continue to prey on their fellow humans. Nonetheless, all is not lost, for we see in the classes of divisions that opportunities exist to change class (3) division into class (2) division and class (4) division into class (1) division. In other words, negative divisors of class (2) that can defeat the negative dividends of class (3) must come to augment the power of the noble positive divisors of class (3) and positive divisors of class (1) must come to kick out negative divisors of class (4). These senarios have occurred many times in human history.
